Copaco/Blue Élan Records is thrilled to welcome outlaw country siren India Ramey to the roster. In partnership with producer and Copaco label head Eric Corne, Ramey is set to release her sixth studio album in 2026. Today she drops the first taste of what’s to come with her brand-new single, “Six Feet Under.”
“I love all things spooky and weird,” Ramey says of the track. “So, it just led me to tell a revenge-from-the-grave story with ghostly vibes. The melody and the rhythm seemed to ask for a Latin flavor that Eric and the band really nailed.”
Corne, who produced the song and the forthcoming record, adds: “With ‘Six Feet Under’ we wanted to explore some new territory. India and I are both big fans of the music from the TV show Narcos, so I tried to add some Mexican and Cuban flavors to the production. It turned out to be one of my favorite tracks from the album. All of us at Copaco/Blue Élan are absolutely over the moon to be working with such a special and unique artist.”
For Ramey, signing with Copaco/Blue Élan is the right fit: “The folks here are true champions of artists with a passion for authentic music, and I am beyond excited to add my strange little brew of outlaw and traditional country into their eclectic roster.”
Called “the kind of artist who might actually haul off and do it” by Saving Country Music, Ramey has built a career on unflinching Southern Gothic storytelling and a voice that cuts straight to the bone. She first broke through with Snake Handler (2017), earning a spot on Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know,” followed by the “post-apocalyptic western” Shallow Graves (2020), which debuted at #6 on the Euro Americana charts. Her most recent album, Baptized By the Blaze (2024), became her most acclaimed yet, earning her spots on No Depression's Readers Poll for Best Albums, Saving Country Music's 'Essential Albums' List and American Songwriter's Best Written Songs of '24.
Ramey’s path to music was anything but typical. A domestic violence survivor, she first became a prosecutor before giving up her law career to pursue songwriting full time. Since then she’s released five albums, showcased at AmericanaFest and SXSW, toured nationally and internationally, and shared the stage with Corb Lund, Maggie Rose, and Silverada.
Now, with new music on the way in 2026, Ramey is hitting her stride. Expect fire, grit, and the kind of truth-telling that only she can deliver.
