Soul-pop duo bring their acclaimed album Pleasure to American stages this fall with coast-to-coast dates
Soul-pop auteurs Young Gun Silver Fox — the transatlantic duo of UK frontman Andy Platts (Mamas Gun) and Kansas-born groove architect Shawn Lee (Ping Pong Orchestra) — are riding high on the success of their fifth album, Pleasure, out now, and hitting the road across the U.S. this fall for their most extensive stateside tour to date.
Fresh off a run of sold-out shows in Europe and following standout U.S. appearances with the Black Pumas last summer, the band now shares their first-ever live release: "Rolling Back (Live from the Troubadour)", recorded at their sold-out Los Angeles show earlier this year. The single offers a front-row seat to the band’s signature live energy — lush harmonies, irresistible grooves, and the kind of sun-drenched soul-pop that has earned them fans worldwide, from Hans Zimmer to Jeff Lynne.
“The Troubadour is one of those rooms,” says Lee. “You can feel the history and the magic from the stage. LA feels like our spiritual home, and our crowd always brings the sunshine and the greatest vibes each time we play there.”
"Rolling Back (Live from the Troubadour)" underscores the band’s reputation as a must-see live act, with more than 100 shows performed worldwide already this year. Meanwhile, their Pleasure Tour USA kicks off its second leg December 3 in Boise, ID and runs through December 14 at the legendary Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, CA. Singles like “Stevie & Sly,” “Late Night Last Train,” and “Born To Dream” have already become fan favorites, cementing Pleasureas a modern classic in the making — a shimmering mix of west coast AOR, pop-soul, and funk that feels both timeless and fresh.
As Andy Platts puts it: “I always come back to Young Gun Silver Fox like taking a drive to the coast. I just smell the ocean and the air and it’s like, ‘Wicked, I’m back here again.’”
This fall, the invitation is clear: roll the windows down, turn it up, and come along for the ride.
