Give In May: Lincoln Heights Tutorial Program
As part of Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, we're highlighting a local non-profit: Lincoln Heights Tutorial Program (LHTP). They are a grassroots non-profit organization with a mission to serve the underserved and overlooked youth of East Los Angeles. LHTP focuses on making a local and significant community impact which they do through a combination of tutoring services to close the academic gap, and youth programs to prepare teens for life after high school.
This month, LHTP is participating in Give in May, a national campaign to support organizations serving the AAPI community. In addition, LHTP hopes to win one of the cash prizes for most dollars raised or most individual donors challenge. You can make your donation starting today. Please tell your friends and family why you believe in the work of LHTP and encourage them to support us too. Thank you for helping LHTP programs & the AAPI community!
Your Mental Health Is Important To Us
Dear Blue Élan Family,
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 1 in 5 American adults will have a diagnosable mental health condition in any given year. Over the past several years, the world has seen an increase in mental health conditions, specifically within the music industry. At Blue Élan Records, we seek to shed light on this important conversation and normalize mental health conditions, with the hope that our employees, artists, and all those in the Blue Élan family have access to the help they need.
This month has taken on added importance during the ongoing pandemic, during which millions of musicians and music industry workers have been deeply affected by the widespread shutdown of live events. Below are a few resources we have compiled specifically for those working in our industry. Please read, utilize, and share these resources with your networks, and know that Blue Élan is committed to providing support for those suffering from mental health afflictions.
In health,
Your Blue Élan Family
