Myles delivers two standout versions: a full-band performance featuring Kurtis Keber (Grace Potter, AJ & Aly) on bass, Val McCallum (Jackson Browne, Lucinda Williams) and Adam Gimenez (Savannah Pope, Paris Jackson) on guitar, Denny Fongheiser (Heart, Tracy Chapman) on drums and percussion, and Bernie Barlow (The Moody Blues, Melissa Etheridge) on background vocals, as well as a soaring rendition recorded with Resonance, UCLA’s nationally recognized, inclusive a cappella ensemble.

Both versions were recorded at Dave’s Room in North Hollywood, CA, and produced by Kirk Pasich and Denny Fongheiser.

“I'm both excited and honored listening to Morgan Myles’ two versions of my song ‘Sister Golden Hair.’ Although quite different from each other, they both hold firmly to my original inspiration for the song. Helmed by strong production from Kirk Pasich and Denny Fongheiser, the song has never sounded better. Sending out my congrats to Morgan and the whole team at Blue Élan.” — Gerry Beckley of America

“It’s a privilege to have both Gerry and Morgan as part of our label family. With the song’s 50th anniversary, we wanted to celebrate it in a meaningful way. Morgan immediately embraced the idea, both the reimagined arrangement and the a cappella version with Resonance.” — Kirk Pasich, Blue Élan Co-Founder
