Watch the "Sky Dancer" music video on YouTube, marking the fourth entry into Scout Durwood's upcoming Comedy Electronica Vol. 1 EP

Sky DancerScout Durwood has released her newest song/video for “Sky Dancer” from her forthcoming EP and video comedy series, Comedy Electronica Vol. 1, set to be released digitally on September 29. The “Sky Dancer” video, the fourth in her new digital series, is available now on YouTube. You can watch the full series HERE. The hilarious new video features the brightly colored blow-up air wavers dancing along with Durwood and friends. As she explains, “I always knew I wanted to start a dance craze. Special thanks to Jason Zeni who directed this beast, and to all of the incredible dancers who lent their enormous talent to the shoot.” When writing the song, Durwood explains the process that led to the final version, which also features Gunner Sixx (son of Motley Crue’s, Nikki Sixx). “The lyrics to “Sky Dancer” are actually pretty close to the scratch track. I had the hook, but I was having a weirdly hard time coming up with the verses. Dave (Darling) put me in the booth and let me freestyle a couple of times. When I came out, he was like, “that was great!” And I was like, “what did I say?” And then we cleaned it up a little bit and that was it. Gunner Sixx threw in all the bits and bobs that really make the track work.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxQWmJKmuPQ

    About Scout Durwood

A seasoned cabaret singer, Scout released her debut studio album, Take One Thing Off, with Blue Élan Records in 2017. Based on the original music, Take One Thing Off developed into a twenty-two episode digital series combining music videos and narrative sketches, recounting the story of Scout’s life as the existential odyssey that it is. The series was nominated for a Streamy Award for “Best Indie Series,” within the Indie Series Category at the 9th annual Streamy Awards this past December. The series has now amassed nearly 200,000 views on YouTube. Prior to the current pandemic Safer at Home situation, SCOUT hosted a monthly ‘Everybody GoGo’ neo-cabaret variety show/dance party. Each event featured some of the biggest names in musical and alt-comedy, variety, drag, magic, and burlesque, taking place on the second Tuesday of every month at The Virgil LA. SCOUT is a Los Angeles-based comedian. She starred in MTV’s scripted comedy series Mary + Jane as well as Oxygen’s Funny Girls, a docu-series following the lives of six female stand-up comedians. She has also guested on Jonathan Van Ness’ hit Funny or Die comedy series Gay of Thrones.
