Gina Sicilia's Memphis Soul inspired single, recorded at Royal Studios
The countdown begins as Gina Sicilia releases her last single,
Hey Love, from her 9th studio album
Love Me Madly. Tracked at
Royal Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. Owned by the legendary Lawrence “
Boo” Mitchell, who has worked with Al Green, Soloman Burke, Lamont Dozier, Rod Stewart, among many other greats.
Notable players include Rev. Charles Hodges who played organ on the album (Al Green, Boz Scaggs, Tom Jones among others). The horns, strings and trumpet were arranged by Marc Franklin (Aretha Franklin, BB King, Solomon Burke, Cyndi Lauper, the Gregg Allman Band among others).
As a result Love
Me Madly features all the elements of soul-shaking, heart-rending, body-moving soul music. Each song carries its listeners out of themselves and reaches down to their emotional core.

Here's what Gina had to say:
So pleased to share with you Hey Love, our sweet tune that’s drenched in Memphis soul.
Cody and I had so much fun writing provocative lyrics for this one. I have fun memories of laughing in the studio [and had] trouble getting through early vocal takes because I couldn’t keep a straight face. Someday we'll have to release the alternate verses!
With amazing horn arrangements by Mark Franklin, [he] take[s] the song over the top. I’m so proud of the huge sound we were able to achieve when we tracked at Royal Studios in Memphis, TN. The song is oozing with the spirit of that day and the energy of the musicians. I hope you enjoy humming along to this one.
