Here's what Gina had to say:
So pleased to share with you Hey Love, our sweet tune that’s drenched in Memphis soul. Cody and I had so much fun writing provocative lyrics for this one. I have fun memories of laughing in the studio [and had] trouble getting through early vocal takes because I couldn’t keep a straight face. Someday we'll have to release the alternate verses! With amazing horn arrangements by Mark Franklin, [he] take[s] the song over the top. I’m so proud of the huge sound we were able to achieve when we tracked at Royal Studios in Memphis, TN. The song is oozing with the spirit of that day and the energy of the musicians. I hope you enjoy humming along to this one.
